Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous (FA)

Services: Food Addicts is a free program based on the 12 steps of AA to help people struggling with controlling the way they eat, who may be obese, bulimic or anorexic.  There are no weigh-ins at meetings, where, through shared experience and mutual support, participants are recovering from the disease of food addiction.

Mission:  Offers a full range of professional treatment services to persons with alcohol or drug related problems. Also provides services to those affected by someone else’s alcohol or drug use.

Mission: Provides Maine citizens with alcohol, tobacco and other drug information for prevention, education and treatment. Free information includes pamphlets, books, handouts, videos, directories of treatment facilities, prevention programs and support groups.
