I Can Cope Program

Mission: The program is a series of classes taught by doctors, nurses, social workers, and other health care professionals or community representatives.  The sessions help dispel cancer myths by presenting straightforward facts and answers to cancer-associated questions.

Charisma Counseling Center

Services: Provides counseling services to teens and older people on goal-setting, relationships, coaching for couples, grief, moral questions, preparation for marriage or other long-term relationships.  Cost is a donation based on ability to pay.

Sweetser:  Your Partner in Mental Health

Services:  Sweetser offers quality family and individualized services to children, adults, and families.  It works in more than 70 communities and schools and maintains five counseling offices.  It covers all aspects of behavioral and mental health through an integrated network of care.

Cancer Community Center

Mission: Provides free programs for Maine adults living with cancer, their families and friends. Programs include on-going support groups, sources of information, learning and networking, wellness programs, workshops, one-on-one support, community outreach and a resource library. The center is staffed Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00pm with many programs offered during the evening and weekend hours.

RX for Maine 

Mission:  Has a Patient Assistance Program to provide Prescription Medicines to qualified patients who do not have prescription drug coverage or who are under insured in their existing plan. A web site has been created to help Mainers find and utilize patient assistance programs.
