Sexual Assault Support Services of Midcoast Maine 

Mission: Sexual Assault Support Services of Midcoast Maine is an agency of professionals and trained volunteers dedicated to providing advocacy and support to survivors, families and concerned others affected by sexual assault, sexual abuse and sexual harassment. SASSMM offers services to improve awareness and response by providing prevention education and risk reduction programs throughout Eastern Cumberland, Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties.

The statewide Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault, MECASA, to which SASSMM is a member, also offers a TTY hotline number for those that are hearing impaired or choose to use a TTY. It is 1-888-458-5599.

New Hope for Women 

Mission: Provides 24-hour crisis hotline offering support, safety options, and information for those in domestic and dating violence situations.  Provides emergency, temporary shelter for abused partners and their children.  Provides transitional housing and personalized support for homeless survivors of domestic violence.  Provides assistance in understanding the legal system and obtaining legal protection in domestic violence situations.
